Up for grabs today is a sweet little Valentine's Day mini-quilt! It can be used as a table topper, or hung on a wall... whatever tickles your fancy!

I did raw edge applique, and for the first time used clear thread. It was weird. Like sewing with fishing line. But, I like it!

Giddy!

YEA! I have been waiting rather impatiently to post these pictures, because this quilt turned out SO cute!!

My awesome friend Amber, of Sweet Life Designs, asked me to make her a quilt out of the adorable line named Giddy! (Amber and I used to be cheerleaders together in high school. I know - Awesome, right? *wink*)

Anyway, I am totally in love with this quilt! And so is she! Yea! So, here it is - Giddy, for Amber!

Thank you, Amber for commissioning this darling quilt!!
Also, I have (finally) set up an email for Linz Sews! So, if you have a question, or want information on getting a quilt made, email me at linzsews@gmail.com!!

A new blog that's made of AWESOME!!

That's right! My awesome quilting friend, Jen, has started a sewing blog! It is already full of awesome-ness, and I can't wait to see more!! Go on - check out the Stich Hack!

Interesting fact - Jen and I used to live in the same town in BFE Utah. It's a blink-and-you-miss-it kinda place, and neither of us remember each other, but there's a pretty good chance we went to Kindergarten together. How did we meet? We hiked the Subway in Zion's National Park together - which her awesome hubby filmed for GeoQuest. We were the "talent." That's right. We're not just quilters together. We're Internet stars together too. Go ahead. Envy us.

Anyway - congrats on starting the blog, Jen! I already have a few things that I will blatantly steal from you! Muahaha!

Binding

I have heard a few of my quilter friends say that doing the binding is their least favorite part of quilting. I understand - it can get a little tedious. But, for me - it's one of my favorite parts. This is when I get a little snuggle time with every quilt I make. I spread the quilt over me and bind away.

Sorry this picture is fuzzy. My 6 year old took it. And yes... that IS a Perry the Platypus t-shirt. ;)

Stay tuned for the finished picture of that beautiful quilt I'm binding there!

Valentine's Day!

I know - It's the 3rd of January. But I had the fabric, and the time (I've been home bound, sick, for the last few days...) so I decided to get my Valentine's Day quilt done!! Now I can have it out longer!!! Yea! This is what I spent my fabric store gift card on! :)

I had a few stumbling blocks, but I am pleased with how it turned out!! I really love the colors!

The blue hearts weren't in the plan originally. Remember the stumbling blocks I mentioned? Yeah, there's a hole under one of the blue hearts. That's why they are there! Lol! But, I actually really like them, so I am happy that I accidentally whacked a hole in my applique panel! ;)

I have fabric for another Valentine's Day quilt on it's way! I am making it for a good friend and I can't wait to get started!!!
