WIP Wednesday!

Ahhhh - I just love Wednesday rolling around! It's fun to keep stock of what's on the sewing table!

This week has been a little quieter for me. My hubby whisked me away for an anniversary trip to Vegas to stay in the Venetian. It was amazing and fun!! I did get a wicked sunburn during a bike ride - but other than that, it was perfect!! I got a new pair of heels.

Sometime I may have to tell the story behind my now infamous blog header. It's a pretty funny story...

Anyway, here are my WiPs this week:

Mod Times #1!!! I finished the ADORABLE quilt yesterday! I will post a teaser now, but I still have to give this quilt a photo shoot, so I'll post pictures tomorrow or Friday.

I just LOVE how it came out! I can't wait to give it to my sister-in-law for her new baby boy!!! :)

In progress (still) -

Bottled Rainbow!

I finished the Teal block (Looooove it!) so now I have these 11 (!) blocks done. I am seriously fighting off the urge to do all the rest in one day. I want to. But I really am trying to keep the pace steady. Sigh. One per week. One per week...

Love this quilt!!!

Mod Times #2!

I told you I had to do one for my wall! lol! So I have the fabric cut and ready to go!! I think I will really like this one! Although - I had the sudden thought to make the background fabric green instead of white. Thoughts?

Finally - kids.

This little monkey turned 4 this week.

I am so glad he's part of my life. He's just a delight!!!!

This one is about to finish 1st grade.

Why does every year feel faster?!? I'm not ready for a 2nd grader!!!! :O

Anyway, that's the current project this week! Be sure to check out all of the awesome WiPs at Freshly Pieced!!

Your Mod Times quilt turned out great:) And your WIP looks just amazing!!! So colorful:) Now for the second Mod Time for your wall, I would love green but I think it would be hard to find a perfect shade of green... I would go with the safer white choice!!! Just my thought.
Your kids look lovely:)

Your teaser pic looks so yummy, can't wait to see the full version. And I would stick with the white I think, it will be lovely and fresh. And your bottled rainbows is looking great too!!

Oooh, I like the idea of the green, I think it would make your lava print really pop. I like white too, but I think the green would be really unexpected and fun! And your Bottled Rainbows blocks are looking fantastic - you're nearing the end!! :)

How cute! The kids, not the quilts...not that the quilts aren't cute too. Well, more like lovely. Of course, your daughter is lovely. I'm just rambling. One a week? I'm lucky to ever finish one!

Your header picture rocks! I wish I had made that much progress in Bottled Rainbows. And your kids are adorable. And yes, time goes WAY too quickly!

Your bottled rainbows look great, you're so close to being finished! Your kids are precious. They definitely grow up too fast!

Why oh why do kids have to grow up so fast? The years go quicker every year for me. Glad you got the Mod times quilt done. Your other one will be nice too. I would have to think about the green vs the white but the white does look sort of stark there in the photo.
