WiP Wednesday!!

Wow, Wednesdays come around super fast!! I haven't gotten a whole lot of sewing done, but I have been very busy! Here's what we've got...

Bottled Rainbow - Ocean Block

I love this one too! Another little butterfly block... I couldn't help myself! Two more to go!! And! I picked this out for the binding!

I still have to get the backing, but I think I know what I want. I just have to do the math and go buy the right amount!! :)

I made some progress on the Hexagon quilt! I love it so far! I can't wait to get it put together!!

That's all the sewing I have for this week (Sad!) But! My major project for the week has been: painting and re-reorganizing my sewing room!!! And it's just about done! Yay!!

Story - when we bought our house every wall, all of the ceilings, the doors, and base boards were all painted the exact same color. A brown that was a little too pink for my taste. If it had been on the walls of a few rooms, I probably would have liked it. But, on every stationary surface? Not so much. It has taken 6 years, but I am finally almost done eradicating the color from my home. My sewing room was the last big room. Now all that's left are the bathrooms and the laundry room. I will get rid of that color if it kills me. Muahaha!

Anyway, here is a picture of my newly painted sewing room!!

Yay!! I am so happy with the color now! It's so soothing! I have two more projects left in here and it will be totally done! Hooray!! So, now on to more sewing!!

Be sure to check out all the awesome WiPs over at Freshly Pieced!! :)

Wow, your sewing room is so neat and organized! If I posted a picture of mine right now, I'd probably get nominated for an episode of Hoarders... :)

The hexagons will be great, I really like your fabric choices. Wow, every room the same color? Seems like a lot of brown to me. Your sewing room looks like a nice, creative space!

Wow! What a great sewing space! It's so clean :) Maybe give us a photo in a few months time when your scrap bin has burst all over the place and we'll all feel at home...

Wow - your sewing room is humongous! Awesome!!! And good for you, just two blocks to go for the Bottled Rainbows quilt, I can't wait to see it. I love the way you have pieced your scraps on your blocks, your quilt is going to look fantastic :)

oh wow, your sewing room is great! congrats on the progress getting rid of the color. I'm in the process of doing that here. It's slow going since I'm the only one who paints!
Love your bottled rainbow block.

Yippie for fresh paint! For me the color I can't really ever paint again is light yellow, so I know how you feel. Your bottle rainbow block is fantastic and I think that binding is really going to be an amazing touch!! Only two more to go? Wow, you'll be putting it together before you know it!

Now be honest; is your sewing room usually that neat? Cause if it is, I may have to hurt you! Mine is always in chaos. I wish I were better about folding fabric back up and putting it away, but I'm a piler.
I think Wednesdays are coming faster because school is out.
I can't wait to see your rainbow quilt together. Love the binding.
Are you doing Jaybirdquilts hexagon quilt or something of your own?
Did I address everything?
