A skirt on a whim

So, today after this happened,

(Yep. He decided to give himself a haircut... **sigh**)

I decided I need to create something to make me feel better. So, I grabbed some fabric I had picked up to make myself a bag, and instead made a pencil skirt. I just sort of winged it, but it turned out good! Even the darts worked out! :)

Yea for skirts!

Skirts! Excellent! Personal haircuts! Not so excellent! My 9 year old daughter sat down to breakfast one morning and I noticed something odd about one of her eyebrows. Upon repeated asking she finally owned up to trying to trim them like I do. Of course, I pluck; she used scissors. Can you see where this is going? It happens to all of us!

It looks like you lined that sucker. Did you "wing" darts AND lining?

Hey, at least you can blame that on the child. I have done that to Henry twice, not on purpose. I wish I got a fabulous skirt out of it both times. That is divine.

Nice skirt. Poor little guy but at least a boys hair will grow back really fast and you would buzz cut it and not be a problem. If it was a girl...well that would be another story. One of my girls did that once, it was awful!
